In accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment and the Interim Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment (Guo Fa [2006] No. 28 of the State Environmental Protection Administration) and other relevant provisions, the relevant information on the environmental impact assessment of the new project of a casting center with an annual output of 300,000 tons of high-precision castings is hereby announced. 1. Project Name: New Project of a Casting Center with an Annual Output of 300,000 Tons of High-Precision Castings by Chongqing Electromechanical Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. 2. Project Overview: Chongqing Electromechanical Holding (Group) Co. (abbreviated as Electromechanical Group) was established in 2000. It is a wholly state-owned company funded by Chongqing Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and an investment institution authorized to operate state-owned assets. Electromechanical Group is one of the large enterprise groups in Chongqing with both total assets and main business revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan, and is a leading enterprise among municipal state-owned enterprises. At present, Electromechanical Group has assets of 23.1 billion yuan, mainly engaged in the development, manufacturing, sales and export of automobiles and auto parts, electrical and electronic appliances, general environmental protection, machine tools, electronic information, and metallurgical products. In 2009, Electromechanical Group achieved strong economic development, with main business revenue of 25.8 billion yuan; total profit of 1.52 billion yuan; output value of new products of 15.3 billion yuan; and export delivery value of 1.02 billion yuan. Six enterprises of Electromechanical Group ranked among the top 50 industrial enterprises in Chongqing, and 10 enterprises became key growth industrial enterprises in Chongqing. At present, Electromechanical Group has 1 * brand-name product, 1 * enterprise technology center, and 41 municipal-level brand-name products. There are 24 municipal-level enterprise technology centers. In 2008, it was awarded the title of China Excellent Creditworthy Enterprise, municipal civilized unit, and Chongqing's * influential famous brand enterprise. The proposed project is located in Wenxi Village, Shuanglu Town, Shuangqiao District, Chongqing (Wenxi Jianxin Area, Chongqing Shuangqiao Industrial Park), covering an area of about 1,547 mu, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan. The plot is located in the southern part of Shuangqiao Industrial Park, south of Checheng South Road and east of Dayou Highway. The proposed project mainly includes the construction of a new precision sand casting workshop, waste sand regeneration treatment center, mold workshop, machining workshop, warehousing, sewage treatment, public supporting systems, office, research and development, physical and chemical metrology, shift dormitory, employee training center, etc. After the project is completed, it will produce 300,000 tons of engine cylinder block and cylinder head castings for CURSOR9, NEF, F1C and other series annually.
