Yuede Flexible Packaging

Shanghai Yuede Flexible Packaging Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by China Flexible Packaging Group Holdings Limited (Hong Kong) and Fujian Yuede Flexible Packaging Co., Ltd. Given the consumption level of biaxially oriented BOPP film in the Yangtze River Delta region, the company has invested in the Shanghai Jinshan Industrial Zone to build a project with an annual output of 180,000 tons of new multi-layer co-extruded multi-functional high-barrier biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film. The total investment is USD 151.18 million, with a registered capital of USD 50 million.
China Flexible Packaging Group is an investment company registered in Hong Kong, primarily investing in the flexible packaging industry. Headquartered in Fuzhou, its first flexible packaging production line was completed and put into operation in 2006, with an annual production capacity exceeding 300,000 tons, ranking first in the domestic industry. The group has successively established flexible packaging production bases, including the Haixi Flexible Packaging Science and Technology Park in Fuzhou, Fujian; the Central Plains Flexible Packaging Science and Technology Park in Xinxiang, Henan; the Western Flexible Packaging Science and Technology Park in Chengdu, Sichuan; and the Northeastern Flexible Packaging Science and Technology Park in Anshan, Liaoning, introducing biaxially oriented polypropylene film production lines representing the world's most advanced level.
By the end of 2013, the group had invested in a total of 14 production lines nationwide, with a total project investment of RMB 4.5 billion and an annual production capacity of up to 700,000 tons. This capacity would account for 29% of the Chinese market share and 14% of the world market share, with an output value exceeding RMB 10.5 billion. The group planned to list on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2014. After listing, the number of production lines would increase to 20, with a capacity of 1 million tons.
The BOPP film produced by the group is hailed as the 'Queen of Packaging' in the industry. As a fast-disposable consumer product, it is closely related to people's daily lives. The production process is pollution-free, and the product is odorless, non-toxic, transparent, safe, and environmentally friendly. It is widely used in adhesive tape substrates, medical packaging, daily chemical products, rice packaging, food packaging, vacuum metallization, high-end beverages, trademark printing, electronics and electrical appliances, clothing, printing and lamination, cigarettes, agricultural and sideline products, aquatic products, laser anti-counterfeiting, and other industrial applications. With the rapid development of China's economy and the gradual improvement of people's living standards, awareness of food safety is also increasing, and the application of BOPP film in various fields will continue to expand.
The project adopts three newly introduced advanced production lines from Germany's Brückner Group for manufacturing new multi-layer co-extruded multi-functional high-barrier biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film, along with three slitting and rewinding machines (including 13 sets of equipment and instruments). The slitting and rewinding machines are supplied by Goebel, Germany.
