Chongqing Conch Cement Co., Ltd. is located in Zhongxian, a central city of Chongqing, close to the Yangtze River, with rich mineral resources and convenient transportation.
The terrain and geological conditions at the construction site of the Chongqing Conch project are harsh, and the living environment is difficult. The mine is dozens of kilometers away from the plant area, with a vertical drop of more than 1,000 meters. The corridor project is 12.7 kilometers long, including 1 vertical shaft and 5 tunnels, crossing lofty mountains and ridges along the way. The construction difficulty is unprecedented in the history of world cement construction. The company was officially registered and established on July 2, 2008, and plans to invest 3 billion yuan, with an overall plan to build 4×4500t/d clinker production lines, a 4.4 million-ton cement grinding system, and 2 sets of 18MW pure low-temperature waste heat power generation systems, along with supporting construction of Yangtze River wharf and necessary living auxiliary facilities.
The first production line of Chongqing Conch started construction on December 22, 2008. The clinker line system was ignited on June 29, 2010, and officially fed on July 3. The first cement mill was successfully put into operation on August 4, 2010. The second production line started construction in December 2009 and was put into operation on April 9, 2011. The two supporting 18MW waste heat power generation systems were connected to the grid successively in 2011.
The Chongqing Conch project adopts today's internationally advanced new dry process production technology with cyclone preheater and precalciner kiln, uses distributed automatic control systems and first-class quality homogenization and first-class quality testing equipment. Production posts achieve unmanned on-site operation, with centralized control in the central control room. Environmental dust collection equipment is fully equipped, and the dust emission concentration is lower than 30mg, reaching international advanced standards. All production technical indicators have reached domestic advanced levels. Raw material vertical mills, large conveying equipment, quality control and automatic control systems are introduced from abroad. In addition, waste heat power generation projects will be independently developed and established. The main contents of the project include: large-scale limestone mining, crushing, and conveying systems; raw material pre-homogenization system; raw meal vertical grinding system; preheating and decomposition, clinker calcination system; waste gas treatment system; cement grinding system; product packaging and shipping system. The project is supported by a 220kV substation and 110kV/50000kVA dedicated power supply lines and other supporting projects. At the same time, logistics service facilities such as staff canteens, single dormitory buildings, family residential buildings, expert apartment buildings, and office buildings are also built.
