Chongqing Zesheng Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chongqing Zesheng Investment Group Co., Ltd., established by the Group for the development of the Liangjiang New Area project. It mainly undertakes the development, construction, and operation management tasks of the Group's invested headquarters base, Liangjiang International Movie City, and other projects in Liangjiang New Area.
Chongqing Zesheng Investment Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 1995. After more than ten years of development, the Group was established in 2007. Under the leadership of the Group's Board of Directors, it has developed rapidly in recent years. To date, it has 17 holding and equity-participating companies. By the end of 2012, the Group's total assets reached 7.5 billion yuan, with over 2,000 employees. The Group's investment industrial chain involves five major industrial sectors: logistics, manufacturing, finance, real estate, and tourism. It is the most powerful and the most development-potential comprehensive private enterprise in Southwest China and inland China.
Chongqing Liangjiang International Movie City is a launching and pioneering project for the development of the cultural industry in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area. It is an important part of the New Area's cultural tourism new city and a new highland for cultural industry development. The project is located in the Longxing area of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area. Adhering to the concept of "architecture as the form, culture as the soul," with the Anti-Japanese War culture as the theme and film and television art as the feature, it is committed to creating a film and television location with unique old Chongqing characteristics, a national cultural industry demonstration base, the largest domestic Anti-Japanese War architectural culture style display area, and an old Chongqing cultural and ecological landmark. In March 2012, the first phase of the themed style street of the Movie City was completed. As of now, more than 20 film and television dramas including "Back to 1942" and "The Cairo Declaration" have been filmed here.
Currently, the second phase of the project is under construction. On the basis of the first phase's old Chongqing style street area, it will reconstruct the "Jiefangbei" and "Chaotianmen" areas, as well as Song Qingling's former residence, Chiang Kai-shek's former residence, Guo Moruo's former residence, and various national embassies. After completion, the beautiful riverside scenery combined with the street style, set against the mountains and water, will achieve the greatest integration of natural landscape and cultural landscape.
