ABOUT YOUR ROLE
Drive sustainable process improvements that will reduce costs increase efficiencies in the converting operations. Provide process engineering support fconverting presses supporting equipment.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
● Develop implement processes, methods, tooling, machine modifications fInlay manufacturing.
● Analyze the thermal printing inkjet printing processes then develop implement proper controls to assure a reliable operation.
● Be a change agent – challenge old ways of doing business implement breakthrough improvements.
● Investigate troubleshoot failures to identify resolve root cause of problems.
● Actively pursue opportunities to continually improve the processes that increase quality, throughput, reduce cost, by utilizing lean/sigma tools.
● Define Establish “Best Practices” in the strap attach converting processes.
● Provide on-machine expertise to operators technicians to ensure that manufacturing capability capacity are meeting delivery performance targets.
● Assist in managing AFE creation expense plans.
● Assist operations technical staff in developing solutions to problems occurring in the manufacturing process. Assists R&D, Platform team, NPD staff in evaluating, testing qualifying new equipment processing strategies that will transfer to production operations.
● Identify, develop, maintain a network of suppliers in China abroad fobtaining technical information, service support, equipment supplies.
● Develop test methods fqualifying new products, materials processing procedures.
● New project management, identify the key control point of the project coordinate with project team to be sure the project implement in schedule budget.
● Other work assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FIN YOU
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related technical discipline.
● At least 5 years of manufacturing experience of driving team excellence.
● Must have converting web handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
● Must be able to communicate well in English.
● Firsthexperience with Arsoma, Comco and/other Flexo printing platforms is an advantage.
● Proven leadership skills (lead motivate people project management skills).
● Certification in improvement processes is preferred (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
● Strong quantitative analytical capability - strong statistical computer background a plus.
● Solid understanding of business issues, metrics, customer value.
● Expert knowledge of standard procedures practices used in web handing operations.
● Previous experience writing ISO compliant procedures standard work.
● Willingness to work with all levels of operational professional staff across all shifts.
● Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks projects over a wide range of priorities to completion.
● Experience with MS Project, AutoCAD MS Office is preferred.
● Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
