Job Overview
As a PCB Design Engineer at TE Connectivity, you will be responsible fthe end-to-end design, layout, documentation of printed circuit boards with a strong emphasis on high-speed digital designs. You will leverage your expertise in Altium Designer, PCB fabrication processes, technical documentation to deliver high-quality designs that meet performance, reliability, manufacturability requirements. Working within a cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineers, you will play a key role in developing next-generation connectivity solutions fdatacenters, telecommunications, advanced electronics platforms.
You will act as the subject matter expert fPCB design from concept through production release, ensuring compliance with electrical, mechanical, industry standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Lead the design, layout, development of high-speed printed circuit boards using Altium Designer. This position is specific to High speed Cable assemblies (Active as well as passive)
• Actives – experience with board designs on Marvell/Broadcom redriver/retimer based controller PMICs, any cable assembly connectexperience.
• Passives – Direct attach cable boards with only connecttermination in the PCB
• Define PCB stack-up, routing strategies, layout rules to ensure signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC compliance.
• Generate maintain PCB fabrication assembly drawings, documentation packages, bills of materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to translate schematics manufacturable PCB layouts.
• Partner with fabrication assembly vendors to validate manufacturability cost-effectiveness of designs.
• Perform design reviews, implement feedback, ensure adherence to industry standards (IPC, JEDEC, IEEE).
• Troubleshoot design fabrication issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in PCB design methodologies, tools, processes.
Required Skills/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, related field.
• 8-12 years of professional experience in PCB design, with emphasis on high-speed designs.
• Advanced proficiency in Altium Designer fschematic capture, PCB layout, documentation.
• Strong knowledge of PCB fabrication processes, materials, design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles.
• Experience with documentation packages (fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, gerbers, ODB++, etc.).
• Solid understanding of high-speed design principles including impedance control, crosstalk, differential pair routing, return path integrity.
• Familiarity with signal integrity p
