We are seeking a highly experienced SeniProduct Development Manager to lead our Product Development engineering team in China. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering management, excellent leadership skills, a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
61 Lead, manage, coach a team of Development Engineers to deliver material handling products to internal external customers/key stakeholders, driving value in product design. Design criteria include ease of application, installation, functionality, commissioning, reliability, safety, maintenance.
61 Participate in the development implementation of strategic tactical plans to achieve on-time delivery of products through resource management, including outside contractors as needed.
61 Build international partnerships to extend consistent standards deliver with excellence to support Dematic’s strategic vision, growth, stability.
61 Product Series development, include optimization, localization, cost-optimization development, etc.
61 maintain a feedback loop finternal customers to ensure day-to-day job tasks are meeting expectations.
61 Build a team culture of trust, encouragement, accountability, collaboration, excellence.
61 Practice leadership, actively participate in Product Development Engineering management meetings, contribute to a continuous improvement mindset with input actions, take initiative to make things better, driving continuous improvement lean initiatives.
61 Enrich internal external cross-functional partnerships across all levels of Dematic KION, as appropriate, to bolster team visibility, accountability, positive impact on theganization.
Project/Product Delivery:
61 Ensure that the team’s product execution is on schedule on budget, following all the engineering MAPS processes the Product Management GOLD process to ensure timely delivery of assigned, quality products that meet specified requirements.
61 Conduct monthly evaluations weekly reporting of product development status.
61 Provide accurate monthly forecasting of resources timelines, fnew development, sustaining projects, Engineering Design Requests.
61 Ensure teams keep accurate, thorough project records in specified documentation locations MS Project Schedules, that tasks are updated at least monthly.
61 Build engineering capabilities team success by identifying skills, assigning appropriate work, providing work opportunities/trainings fengineers’ skill improvement.
61 Maintain safety & compliance standards communications.
61 Proactively drive capacity planning through innovative work assignment collaboration with other managers.
61 Encourage innovation, continuous improvement, position your team as technical leaders fassigned products.
61 Provide thorough, timely escalation of issues to the manager with background information details needed along with possible impact assessments suggested next steps, to facilitate quick action.
61 Resolve issues conflicts in a timely, appropriate manner.
Financial Responsibility:
61 Manage projects workload to product budgets, resources, timelines. Practice active opportunity tracking risk mitigation.
61 Awareness of budget plans ensuring that management decisions are aligned, with proactive management.
61 Manage team individual expenses to budgets.
61 Awareness of China’s Strategic Plans the team’s responsibility fachieving those goals.
61 Approve travel requests, expense reports in a timely, accurate manner.
Strategic Tactical Initiatives/Projects:
61 Drive improvements fthe greater department from strategic initiatives.
61 Act as a process improvement driver presenter.
61 Other responsibilities as required.
Fully support C2H (China 2nd Home) strategy
61 Actively conduct in - depth market research in China, collaborating closely with local marketing sales teams to identify unique customer requirements, industry trends, regulatory features specific to China.
61 Lead the customization localization development of products according to Chinese market demands. This includes optimizing product functions, such as adding features that support Chinese market requirement.
