Sharp Trading (China) Co., Ltd. is invested by Sharp Corporation of Japan, with a registered capital of RMB 100 million. The company officially commenced operations on October 1, 2005. Currently, the company has established branches in 7 major cities across China: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Chengdu, and Shenyang. By the first half of 2007, the company expanded its offices to over 40 locations (with its headquarters in Shanghai) and 23 copier maintenance and training centers. Its main business includes the import of world-leading AV products, home appliances, information products, and electronic components; domestic procurement in China, including OEM/ODM; and domestic and international sales as well as after-sales services. Since its founding in 1912, Sharp Corporation has developed products such as the mechanical pencil, from which the company name originates, as well as Japan's first radio and television, the world's first calculator and liquid crystal display, actively expanding into new fields to contribute to the improvement of human life and social progress.
