Job Purpose:
 Independently design all the acoustical aspects of complete products fPSS from a loudspeaker driver loudspeaker applications.
Key areas of accountability:
 Creative design development of the loudspeakers/products according to customer specifications within the timeframe of the project planning.
 Responsible ftimely delivery of the required documentation during development & report project development results outputs to the local global project manager.
 Interact communicate with mechanical & electrical development engineers global project team members when designing the acoustical aspects of loudspeakers sound applications
 Interfacing with external suppliers on technical issues to a pro-active involvement of the suppliers.
 To release acoustical parts check if technical specification are met.
 Support global business / sales support with communication, samples advice.
 Technical contact with customer to discuss specification, solutions alternatives.
Perform the above tasks in line with the PSS Code of Ethics the health & safety, quality, security, sustainability policies. Fthe environment (integrated in sustainability), explicit attention should be given to the risks opportunities identified in the environmental aspects analysis fthe department.
Job scope:
 Work under minimum supervising most tasks can be finished independently with relevant knowledge. Interaction with both internal external parties communication will reach levels from juniemployee to senimanagement.
 As PSS is international company communication documentation in mainly English.
 Work requires independent decision making the decision would directly influence product design.
Qualification:
1. Academic/Professional Qualification:
o Degree in Mechanical Engineering equivalent.
2. Working Experience:
o Minimum 6 years’ experience in product design of automotive loudspeakers products
o Must in using Creo (previously Pro/ENGINEER) as design tools
o Experience in using CATIA will be added advantage.
o Experience in PTC Windchill 10.1 but preferable.
o Experience in using COMSOL Multiphysics simulations will be added advantage
3. Expertise/Skills:
o Good knowledge experience of plastic tooling, metal stamping, plastic injection moulding, cable, foam, label printing technique manufacturing processes pertinent to product design.
o Proven solid working knowledge on Design of Experiments (DOE) also DFM
o Good in drafting, dimensioning, tolerances
o Strong knowledge in DFMEA, GD&T Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis.
o Knowledge in SQC will be added advantage.
o Proven solid analytical skills on products hands on at solving technical problem with Quality Tools.
o Hands on part approval processes
4. Language skills:
o Fluent in English (both writing verbal) Mandarin is a must.
