岗位职责:
This Application System position within the serviceganization is an ambassadof Bruker Nano Surfaces Metrology “BNSM” instrumentation technology. Bruker Nano Surfaces Metrology manufactures the worlds leading Atomic Forces Microscopes, Stylus profilers, Mechanical Testers, X-Ray Diffractometer non-contact 3D optical microscope instrumentation. This technical role responsible fcustomer direct post-sale instrumentation application support including: installation, user application training, instrument diagnostics/fix, post-sale applications support. Individual must be customer focused with a strong technical background enabling our customers to maintain their instrument at peak performance maximize productivity ftheir intended use case.
50% customer empowerment application support activities including:
1. Empower customers to optimize performance of their BNSM instrument through support instruction including but not limited to:
a. Teaching Theory of operation training new users on instrument operation
b. Demonstration of instrument ability on non-standard samples
c. Provide post-sale user application training support
d. Provide customer specific post-sale application support
e. Experiment, test, develop, optimize application protocols
f. Authapplication notes, user/applications procedures, user/applications training material
50% service activities including:
2. Install qualify BNSM instrument, upgrade, and/accessory including but not limited to:
a. Uncrating instrumentation interconnection of sub-components assemblies
b. Instrument start-up troubleshooting
c. Qualification of the instrument accessories using standard non-standard customer samples.
3. Work directly with customers to diagnose BNSM instrument issues including but not limited to
a. Diagnose, research, experiment, test, develop, optimize, communicate, execute the most efficient solution plan fcomplex electro mechanical hardware/software instrument issues.
b. maintain record of activity in support database
4. Preventative maintenance on BNSM instrumentation which can include but not limited to:
a. Basic maintenance calibration of instrument accessories
b. Re-certification of system using both standard non-standard samples.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
• 75% travel both domestically internationally on short notice
• Able to work in Government sites, cleanroom, production floor, & laboratory environments
• Require weekend holiday on call support
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Customer focused, passionate about science technology, passionate to enable customers with Bruker technology. Proven excellent analytical capability, theoretical understanding of physics, working knowledge of electronics, mechanics, control systems, computers, networking, common tooling such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc… to be an effective problem solver of complex system, product user, and/application issues. Proven ability to install, qualify be a trainer technical resource that empowers our customers in the use of complex electro-mechanical instrumentation application modules. Proven ability to experiment, test, optimize, develop best practice fsupport post-sale application activity. Proven ability to provide clear, logical, effective communication. Proven ability to develop, communicate, implement, execute assigned project including achieving required deliverables on time.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of master’s degree in scientific engineering field from accredited university college, bachelor’s degree in scientific engineering field from accredited university college with 3 year relevant experience
