Job Responsibilities
- Lead oversee designing, transforming, analyzing reporting complex studies/projects such as complex phase I-IV clinical trials projects with established BI experience supporting complex international projects. Lead oversee designing, transforming, analyzing reporting of other data from the clinical drug life cycle process like registries real-world data bases with respect to a specific use case project/asset.
- Keep abreast of data science within outside Boehringer Ingelheim. Turn derived insights new data science approaches relevant fdiscovery, clinical development, registration, manufacturing marketing of drugs.
- Present compelling validated stories regarding complex data science aspects to BDS(Biostatistics & Data Sciences) colleagues other professionals within outside of Boehringer Ingelheim.
- Ensure data transformation analysis specifications to ensure completeness, correctness adherence to department guidelines SOPs as well as to applicable GxP requirements.
- Guide and/lead other colleagues, internal external customer external providers on data science related tasks.
- Participate in cross-functional Boehringer Ingelheim internal working-groups lead cross-functional One Human Pharma internal working-groups drive/plan relevant data science aspects. Participate in external working groups.
- If applicable, supports the clinical drug life cycle process as a BDS Product Owner up to the level of substance/assets.
- Ensures cross-functional team-based working within BDS with other units at Boehringer Ingelheim. Fulfils tasks of other functions as needed possible. Contributes to cross-functional team-based thinking. Support fostering innovative digital approaches to produce sophisticated, intelligent optimization solutions, innovative processes predictive models.
Job Requirements
- Bachelof Science (BSc), Master of Science (MSc) Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science related field (Psychology, Data Science, Finance, etc).
- Thorough knowledge of statistical methodology, design of experiments such as clinical trials, basic terminology of the supported area/asset on processing information such as clinical trial information.
- In-depth understanding of advanced statistical concepts related to Data Science.
- Language skills: English: fluent (Read/Write/Speak).
- Advanced working knowledge of broad variety of aspects of relevant software languages.
- Mindful of local, global, internal external cultures to ensure that messages are received positively effectively.
- Ability to lead facilitate meetings.
- Ability to develop deliver training related to data science topics.
- Evidence of strong teamwork, also in global remote context.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people, internally externally (e.g. CROs, experts, management).
- Ability to pro-actively identify issues solutions to interact with internal external bodies on routine data science issues.
