Job Purpose Impact
The Logistics Specialist, will assist with supply chain activities required to bring commodity ingredients contracted warehouses, vendors, to plants direct to customers. In this role, you will execute on the commodity merchant supply strategy will complete documentation systems entry to enable timely cost effective flow of commodities.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform activities that support transportation logistics solutions on inbound movement of raw commodity ingredients finished goods fromigin to destination.
- Execute logistics activities that support the execution of the supply chain, such as transportation capacity plans, management of third party warehouses vendors, container administration import shipments.
- Assist with routine schedule preparation, transportation arrangement, stock inventory management reporting of shipments in accordance with purchase sales contracts.
- Execute against the logistics supply chain strategy, resolve basic issues provide recommendations to support improved cost beneficial freight movements.
- Facilitate shipments against purchase sales contracts, execute internal external purchaseders invoices perform data entry updates using enterprise resource planning systems, spreadsheets databases.
- Execute specialized transportation logistics activities around material resource plans fthe facilities, claims incidents, customer service customerders contracts.
- Conduct activities to support the development of relationships to assist withder shipment changes inder to make the best buy sell decisions to minimize costs maximize profits services.
- Handle basic issues problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelors degree in a related field equivalent experience
-Minium 2 years’ experience in transportation import-export operation is required
-Proficient in spreadsheet word processing applications
-Fluent English reading writing skills basical communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
-Knowledge of how enterprise resource planning systems
-Knowledge of manufacturing environments food safety
-Working knowledge of international commercial terms
-Commodity logistics knowledge
