In 1922, Norwegian Mr. Ole Bardahl immigrated to the United States. On September 12, 1939, he purchased a small chemical company in the Ballard area of Seattle and began producing soap and his specially formulated motor oil additives. This was the beginning of Bardahl. After 1952, Bardahl recognized the market potential of motor oil additives and gradually became the third largest supplier in the U.S. market, and once became the world's largest supplier. At the same time, because its products were very suitable for high-performance engines, they were provided to local racers for testing, and it participated in sponsoring including the Indy 500, Formula 1 racing, NASCAR racing, motorcycle racing, small racing aircraft and its high-speed hydroplane racing career U-40 Miss BARDAHL (won including 5 Gold Cups and 6 International High Point championships).
