Hunan Provincial Navigational Engineering Co., Ltd. was founded in January 1953 and was merged and restructured into Hunan Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. in 2022, becoming a second-tier enterprise of Hunan Construction Investment Group. As a national high-tech enterprise, Hunan Provincial Navigational Engineering Co., Ltd. holds a Grade I qualification for general contracting of port and waterway engineering construction, as well as a Grade II qualification for general contracting of highway engineering construction and municipal public engineering construction, a Class I Grade A qualification for highway maintenance engineering construction, a Grade II blasting qualification, and a Grade II qualification for professional contracting of environmental protection engineering. It is a state-owned enterprise in port and waterway engineering with considerable scale and strength within Hunan Province. The company has three specialized branches: waterway, marine engineering, and emergency security. It mainly undertakes various port and dock projects, waterway dredging, underwater reef blasting, water-related environmental protection, various ship lock projects, waterway regulation projects, water supply and drainage projects, road and bridge projects, land reclamation projects, underwater rescue and salvage projects, underwater and onshore blasting and excavation projects, as well as the laying of various onshore and underwater pipelines, and major and medium repairs and maintenance of highways, bridges, and tunnels.
