CATARC Automotive Test Center (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary 100% controlled by China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd., established on October 24, 2016, covering an area of approximately 577 mu, located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, with a total investment exceeding RMB 2.1 billion.
The project plans to construct testing facilities including new energy vehicle laboratories, crash safety laboratories, electromagnetic compatibility laboratories, vehicle durability and engine laboratories, vehicle emission laboratories, vehicle comprehensive performance laboratories, and test tracks, covering comprehensive testing capabilities in vehicle emission performance, electromagnetic compatibility, passive safety, automotive parts and assemblies, new energy vehicle three-electric systems, and safety, energy saving, and environmental protection of complete vehicles and related parts. Based on this, it is planned to establish the National New Energy Vehicle Quality Inspection Center (Guangzhou), filling the gap of the absence of a third-party new energy vehicle inspection and testing platform in Guangdong Province.
