Position Summary
• The Production Leader is responsible fleading executing daily production operations to achieve targets within Safety, Quality, Cost Delivery (SQCD), while developing people building a strong performance driven production culture.
• The role contributes to establishing, stabilizing, continuously improving production operations from ramp up to serial manufacturing.
Key Accountabilities
Safety (HSE)
• Ensure all production activities are executed in compliance with Kongsberg HSE policies, local legislation, site specific requirements
• Identify, assess, mitigate operational risks; ensure reporting follow up of incidents near misses
• Ensure employees are trained work according to approved safety procedures instructions
Quality
• Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with approved processes, work instructions, quality standards.
• Monitquality performance ensure deviations are addressed through structured root cause analysis corrective actions
• Support audits, inspections, compliance with internal external quality requirements
Delivery
• Execute the production plan to meet delivery commitments, throughput targets, customer requirements
• Coordinate daily production activities, staffing resource allocation
• Actively manage disturbances deviations impacting delivery performance
Cost
• Ensure efficient use of labor, materials, equipment to meet cost targets
• Contribute to operational efficiency continuous improvement targets
People Leadership
• Lead, coach, develop production employees to ensure competence, engagement, performance
• Ensure employees work in accordance with approved procedures, values, Code of Conduct
Desired Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree above, related to technical maj
• 10+ years of experience from a manufacturing environment (machining, assembly, and/testing)
• Previous experience in a team leader, supervisor, line management role
• Ability to read interpret technical drawings production documentation
• Strong communication collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently, take ownership make operational decisions
• Nice to have experience with Lean manufacturing methods continuous improvement tools
• Nice to have experience from regulated high quality industries (e.g., marine, industrial, energy)
• Nice to have experience from ramp up, pilot production greenfield manufacturing environments
