Sapa Chalco Aluminum Products (SapaChalcoAluminumProducts) was established in 2011, headquartered in Xipeng Aluminum Industry Park, Chongqing. It is an aluminum processing enterprise integrating aluminum alloy extrusion and processing, jointly established by Aluminum Corporation of China Limited and Sapa Group of Sweden. Sapa Chalco covers world-advanced technologies in product R&D, joint design, extrusion, heat treatment, friction stir welding (FSW) and machining, specializing in the R&D and production of aluminum alloy body structure profiles and modules for rail vehicles and other special aluminum alloy profiles for transportation. Sapa Chalco is currently the only enterprise in China capable of double-sided friction stir welding, and its products have been successfully applied in rail transit vehicles, freight car bodies and ships.
