KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as the primary legal advisfVeoneer’s APAC operations, supporting business leaders across China, Japan, Korea, India.
• Lead manage the APAC legal team coordinate with external counsel as needed.
• Provide legal support on a wide range of matters including but not limited to:
o Commercial contracts supplier/customer agreements
o Employment lablaw
o Dispute resolution litigation
o Regulatory compliance government affairs
o Corporate governance entity management
o Intellectual property, including protection licensing
o Dispute resolution litigation management
• Support strategic initiatives such as joint ventures, M&A, restructuring projects.
• Monitlegal regulatory developments in the region advise on potential impacts.
• Develop implement regional legal policies, training, compliance programs.
• Conduct, manage and/support Compliance investigations in the APAC Region as directed by Line manager.
• Collaborate closely with global legal, compliance, business teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards objectives.
• Other task assigned by Line manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Law degree (JD, LLB, equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one APAC jurisdiction; China bar qualification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, including both law firm in-house roles.
• Experience in auto manufacturing industry, particularly in passive safety related technologies is preferred
• Strong knowledge of legal regulatory frameworks across key APAC markets.
• Familiarity with cross-border legal issues international compliance standard is preferred
• Proven leadership experience managing legal teams advising seniexecutives.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced , matrixed multicultural environment.
