Role Summary
Execute GB 44495 cybersecurity testing verification activities in China provide hands-on support to Cyber Operations fvehicle cybersecurity product issues. Responsible fdebugging, triaging, supporting root cause analysis in collaboration with global engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
GB 44495 Testing & Evidence Generation
- Plan execute cybersecurity tests aligned with GB 44495 inspection verification methods.
- Produce complete, audit-ready test evidence packages.
- Ensure coverage across key areas such as:
- External interface security
- Communication security
- Software security integrity
- Maintain consistent repeatable test environments procedures.
Cyber Operations Support (Vehicle Issues)
- Support investigation of cybersecurity related software components issues in production vehicles:
- Reproduce defects
- Collect logs traces
- Analyse technical root cause
- Work with global engineering teams to drive issue resolution.
- Document issues clearly fcompliance, audit, engineering follow-up.
Vulnerability Verification & Regression
- Validate fixes fvulnerabilities security defects.
- Execute regression testing ensure closure evidence is compliance-ready.
Tooling & Automation
- Develop scripts/tools to automate testing, log analysis, evidence generation.
- Improve efficiency repeatability of testing triage processes.
Must Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Cybersecurity, related field.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Vehicle networks (CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet)
- Wireless connectivity technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular/T-Box, remote access interfaces)
- Practical experience with automotive testing diagnostic tools, including:
- CANoe / CANalyzer equivalent network simulation analysis tools
- UDS / DoIP diagnostic tools log analysis environments
- Strong programming scripting skills:
- Python (automation, log parsing, testchestration)
- Proven ability to execute security-focused testing across external interfaces connectivity systems
- Strong debugging, triage, root-cause analysis capability in embedded environments
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in automotive testing, embedded systems, cybersecurity validation, operations support.
- Experience with compliance-driven test programs fChina vehicle market entry.
- Familiarity with lifecycle-based cybersecurity practices (e.g., GB/T 38628).
- Practical experience with wireless connectivity security testing, such as:
- Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular attack surface validation
- Vehicle-to-cloud mobile application security validation
- Familiarity with tools commonly used in advanced automotive cybersecurity testing environments, such as:
- Network/protocol analysis tools (e.g., packet capture, traffic analysis tools)
- Fuzzing tools penetration testing frameworks
- Experience validating secure OTA (FOTA/SOTA) remote vehicle control functionalities
- Understanding of vehicle external interface security testing (USB, OBD, telematics, app connectivity)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity lifecycle practices (threat analysis, vulnerability management, incident handling)
- Experience working in vehicle, bench, HIL-based test environments with integrated connectivity stacks
- Driving license to drive the cars in China ability to complete some robustness testing .
