Job Summary
The Site Financial Controller plays a critical role in overseeing managing all aspects of finance accounting functions at the manufacturing site in MainlChina operation in Hong Kong. This includes financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, compliance, strategic financial planning. The role supports site leadership in driving operational efficiency, profitability, compliance with corporate regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
• Lead the entire site-level finance accounting functions, including accounting, financial reporting analysis, treasury, audit, taxation, etc.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, year-end financial closing processes, delivering timely accurate management accounts reporting package
• Prepare present monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements in accordance with statutory regulatory requirements corporate policies
• Conduct variance analysis, provide financial insights recommendations to site corporate leadership
Budgeting & Forecasting
• Develop, manage, present the annual budget rolling forecasts. Lead detailed budget review meetings with department heads
• Develop maintain financial models to support operational planning strategic initiatives
• Monitreport on site performance against budget forecast
Cost Accounting & Inventory Control
• Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis
• Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities improve margin performance
Compliance & Internal Controls
• Identify implement improvements to financial processes controls
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, local statutory regulations
• Liaise with external auditors tax advisors fstatutory audit tax compliance
• Maintain improve financial systems processes fscalability efficiency
Business Partnership & Decision Support
• Act as a business partner to the Site General Manager other functional leaders to achieve business objectives
• Provide financial support fcapital investment decisions, ROI analysis, strategic projects
• Assess financial risks develop risk mitigation strategies
Team Leadership
• Manage mentthe finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives
Perform other duties ad hoc projects as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, related field
• CPA, CMA equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
• Experience in electronics manufacturing industry is a must
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, cost accounting, tax regulations in Hong Kong MainlChina
• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, detailed-minded, with strong sense of responsibility
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications ERP systems (e.g., SAP,acle)
• Good commin Mandarin, Cantonese, English
• Station in Dongguan, MainlChina
• Willing to travel if required
