Maekawa Geizhuang (Nanchang) Co., Ltd. is a Japanese-funded enterprise established in January 2002 in Nanchang High-tech Development Zone, Jiangxi Province, China, with 100% investment from Maekawa Geizhuang Industry Co., Ltd., a listed company in Japan. It is for the construction of a production base for high-grade pipeline plumbing materials and fixtures. 〈br〉
The company's total investment is 1.5 billion yen (13.6 million USD), with the first-phase investment amounting to 800 million yen, mainly used for plant construction and the purchase of complete sets of imported casting assembly line equipment from Japan. The main casting equipment includes: FBO II molding production line made in Japan and two matching medium-frequency electrolytic furnaces. The company officially started plant construction in late May 2002. By the end of December 2002, and by March 2003, equipment installation and commissioning were completed. 〈br〉
The second-phase investment began in May 2003, with an additional capital increase of 700 million yen. It was mainly used for the purchase of processing machinery and inspection machinery. In September 2003, processing machinery (Taiwan-made CNC lathes) was purchased. In June 2004, additional processing equipment (Taiwan and Japan-made CNC lathes), inspection equipment (Taiwan, China, and Japan-made), and other equipment accessories were purchased. All the above equipment is used to produce high-grade pipeline plumbing materials. As an export-oriented foreign-funded enterprise, at present all products are sold back to Maekawa Geizhuang Industry Co., Ltd. in Japan. In the future, we will join hands with similar enterprises to shift our sales focus to the Chinese market. 〈br〉
