The position is designed to support Group IT in strategic procurement fretail hardware across the group assist the China IT team with local tactical hardware needs. The role involves close collaboration with Group IT stakeholders to define requirements fvarious hardware, including POS machines, barcode scanners, handheld terminals, PCs, printers, tablets. The scope includes all the services requires to deploy, maintain retire the equipment across the regional.
The role requires to have the ability to analyse spend data, work closely with stakeholders, develop strategic sourcing initiatives. Experience in functional design-to-cost, as well as knowledge of the vendecosystem in mainlChina, is advantageous. Effective communication skills in English are essential fengaging with international stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of implementing a Tiered sourcing approach to accommodate the vast retail spectrum covered by DFI group
Primary Responsibilities:
• Supporting the Head of Procurement to deliver a saving plan from medium to high value medium to high complex procurement
- Delivery strategic procurement supporting delivery of procurement change projects.
- Find opportunities to lower the cost base
• Strategic sourcing: Ability to develop a sourcing strategy engage senistakeholders in Group IT Markets to get buy-in.
- Develop a tiered sourcing strategy at 3 levels fdifferent markets
- Engage work with multiple stakeholders across APAC to ascertain business needs identify risks issues.
• Developing Quarterly category plans identifying risks, issues opportunities to generate improvements in the business operations including analyzing spend data v budgets v contractual commitments
- Conducting market research on procurement categories
- Developing reviewing business cases
- Gathering analyzing internal spending supplier performance data
- Direct engagement with the stakeholders will require occasional travels to Hong Kong, the other markets in the region.
• Lead & directly manage the delivery of strategic procurement projects including:
- Agreeing appropriate procurement strategies including negotiation strategies e.g. face to face / e-Auctions
- Agreeing appropriate contract terms commercial schedules fthe procurement project
- Drafting and/quality assuring tendering documentation
- Launching procurement via the e-Sourcing tool
- Agreeing evaluation approach educating stakeholders on evaluation methodology
- Conduct contract negotiation support the drafting
- Contract award including managing the Docusign process storing contracts on our Contract Database
- Agree appropriate contract management approaches fprocurement projects assess supplier performance, promoting continuous improvement innovation
- Complete the appropriate governance processes e.g. Non-Trade Procurement panel ITEC fprojects over $100k USD
- Ensure integrity ethics are sustained throughout the procurement process
• Ensures compliance to procurement KPI’s
- Supporting the completion of Non-Trade Procurement reporting including: Saving tracker saving approvals / Supplier control / Team meetings /Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory security requirements e.g. Cyber Security.
• The position might require in the future the management direct dotted line of a small team management of resources in the local markets, promoting the DFI Retail the Non-Trade Procurement values promoting knowledge sharing providing the team members with important business information, coaching guiding them on their career journey to help them succeed in their role.
Professional experience & qualifications:
• 5 to 10 years procurement experience
• Ambition to continue to develop a career in procurement
• Experience of working in teams also able to follow end to end procurement process work independently.
• Strong attention to detail strong numeracy analytical skills
• Be a good problem solver
• Pro- active, self-motivated, well-organized, efficient ability to work under pressure.

• Experience of working in a procurement team and/in a retail multi-market preferred
• Language in English, Cantonese Mandarin
