Job Title: Sr. Product Design Engineer
Position Overview:
Leave your mark see the impact of your designs! Molex is seeking a skilled creative Sr. Product Design Engineer to design develop modifications to the Business Unit (BU) products. In this role, you will lead design of BiPass solution connectproducts fall majdata center companies.

Essential Functions:
1. Develop new mechanical products fconnectors. Support interface of Molex products to customer partner company systems.
2. Lead new product development efforts executing Product Development Phase Gate Process from development of the product concept through volume production while adhering to project schedule Design includes all aspects of product development such as 3D Modeling, 2D Drawings, engineering changes, technical documents, etc.
3. Work with manufacturing engineering to develop manufacturing processes utilizing the latest 3D CAD modeling techniques other Design fManufacturability (DFM) tools.
4. Use risk reduction tools to perform TA, FEA, model simulation etc. fdesign analysis is expected. Utilize a working knowledge of material costs manufacturing processes to determine the impact on various design attributes. Provides input to the DFMEA analysis of the product as required.
5. Performs design validation activities to ensure that design meets the specifications of the customer, UL requirements, reliability testing.
6. Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, inside product marketing personnel.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 1-3+ years product design experience in electronic products (preferring from connectindustries).
3. Good writing spoken English.
4. Experienced with Product Development Process (PDP).
5. Understanding of Tolerance analysis, dFMEA, FEA.
6. Knowledge on component design (injection, diecasting, sheet metal).
7. Attention to details, be creative, good interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal cross functional teams external customers.

Desired Qualifications:
1. Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Mincourses degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. 3+ years’ design development experience on data connectproducts.

Desired Skills Abilities:
1. Extensive knowledge of high precision sheet metal design.
2. In depth knowledge of die casting plastic injection molding.
3. Material manufacturing knowledge such as stamping forming sheet metal.
4. Proficient in tolerance analysis.
5. Adept in solid modeling experience to generate 3D models & 2D drawings knowledge of drafting standards.
6. Ability to work independently to effectively communicate with global cross functional teams.
