Core tasks
Planning coordination
●Set development objectives strategy with stakeholders (CTO, Chemical Scientist, R&D colleagues, third-party consultants).
●Coordinate workflows, prepare an integrated plan with milestones, define responsibilities deliverables, communicate progress to stakeholders.
Technology analysis
●Monitstate-of-the-art developments, synthesize relevant findings, define criteria ftechnology, material properties, product performance.
Process development
●Develop pilot manufacturing processes ffinished semi-finished ophthalmic lenses using proprietary acrylic materials.in collaboration with the Chemical Scientist.
●Ensure high process repeatability reproducibility to meet product-performance criteria.
●Execute development in collaboration with R&D (primarily the Chemical Scientist), external advisors, academic partners to ensure technical validation.
●In parallel with material-composition work（ by Chemical Scientist）, establish the appropriate cast molding technology ffinished semi-finished ophthalmic lenses.
●Verify process stability across product types to ensure consistent manufacturing outcomes.
Testing compliance
●Plan, select, conduct process product testing (with the Chemical Scientist Optical Scientist) to evaluate biological safety stability in compliance with YY ISO requirements.
●Collaborate closely with Regulatory Affairs R&D to develop appropriate documentation.
Communication
Internal
●Work closely with the Global CTO, the Chemical Scientist, R&D teams across sites, including colleagues at Gaush Shenzhen.
●Maintain regular contact with materials-science experts (university partners others).
●Business travel between facilities may be required, typically every one to two months.
External
●Work with third-party consultants research institutes as needed.
Job Requirements
Education
●Master’s PhD in materials process development (preferred), polymer chemistry, mechanical engineering.
Professional experience
●Experience in process development, cast molding of optical elements, curing technologies, chemical physical test methods; working knowledge of related technologies of the high-quality documentation required in the medical-device industry.
Project coordination
●Ability experience coordinating technical R&D projects across sites stakeholders.
Language skills
●Proficient written spoken English.
