The Company was founded in 1958, formerly known as "Qinghai Potash Fertilizer Plant". In 1996, as one of the first batch of modern enterprise system pilot units in Qinghai Province, it underwent corporate reform and was renamed "Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Group Co., Ltd." (Chinese abbreviation "Salt Lake Group"). In 1997, Salt Lake Group restructured its main business of potassium chloride production and operation into "Qinghai Salt Lake Potash Fertilizer Co., Ltd." On March 21, 2011, "Salt Lake Group" was delisted and deregistered on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and the merger of the "two lakes" was basically completed.
