[Summary] Cultural Industry Group
Tianzhou Culture was founded in 2003, with book publishing and distribution as its foundational business. The company was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2010, making it the first listed company among private publishing and distribution enterprises in China.
In the six years since its listing, the company's market value grew from 2.58 billion yuan at the time of listing to approximately 15 billion yuan in 2016, and its net profit increased from 30 million yuan at the time of listing to 244 million yuan in 2016.
Over the course of its development, Tianzhou Culture has won the China Publishing Government Award for two consecutive terms and was rated among the "Top 20 ChiNext Listed Companies by Value." From 2014 to 2016, the company was selected by the World Media Lab as one of the "World's Top 500 Media" for three consecutive years. In 2016, with approval from the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, it obtained foreign publishing rights, an ice-breaking move for China's publishing industry. In early 2017, it was selected for the "Top 100 Brand Values in China's Cultural Industry" and the "Forbes China Listed Companies Potential Enterprises List."
These achievements established Tianzhou Culture's benchmark position in the industry, enabling it to grow rapidly into an influential public company in the sector. In the next five to ten years, Tianzhou Culture will continue to focus on its three major industry segments—education, entertainment, and culture—and grow into a first-class cultural industry group that is collectivized, internationalized, and culturally oriented.
