Guangdong Provincial Water Resources and Hydropower Group Co., Ltd. is a large state-owned enterprise approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guangdong Province. Its predecessor is the Second Engineering Bureau of Water Resources and Hydropower of Guangdong Province, which has a development history of over 50 years. Its main business scope includes construction operations, capital operations, real estate development, and comprehensive operations, forming an industrial system based on general contracting of projects, with a focus on clean energy development and utilization, and moderate development of real estate and comprehensive operations.

The Group's holding company, "Guangdong No.2 Hydropower Engineering Co., Ltd." (abbreviated as "Yueshui Power"), is a listed company on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and a high-tech enterprise in Guangdong Province. It possesses five Grade I general contracting qualifications for construction projects including water conservancy and hydropower, housing construction, highways, municipal public utilities, and mechanical and electrical installation, as well as Grade I professional contracting qualification for foundation and foundation engineering and professional qualification for urban rail transit engineering. Meanwhile, it also has the operating qualification for foreign contracted projects of the People's Republic of China. In September 2002, Yueshui Power passed the national certification of "Integrated Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety Management System". On August 10, 2006, the stock of Yueshui Power was successfully listed. On August 18, 2008 and in July 2011, Yueshui Power successfully issued additional shares twice.

The Group currently has more than 1980 experts and engineering technicians of various levels and types, including 6 professor-level senior engineers, over 200 personnel with senior professional titles, and over 600 with intermediate professional titles. It possesses more than 4700 sets of advanced construction equipment, and its equipment and construction technology rank among the advanced levels in the domestic industry.

The Group adheres to the strategy of "going out of two gates (provincial gate and national gate)", continuously expanding its business scale, with projects distributed in 15 provinces and regions in China and countries such as Vietnam. Adhering to the strategy of "brand-driven", the Group strives to create high-quality projects and has undertaken the majority of large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects in Guangdong Province, as well as municipal projects such as sewage treatment plants, highways, bridges, and high-rise building construction. In particular, it has strong competitiveness in the subway markets of Guangzhou and Shenzhen, with 11 shield machines. Its construction projects have won honors such as the "National Science and Technology Progress Award", "Lu Ban Prize", "Zhan Tianyou Civil Engineering Grand Award", "China Municipal Engineering Gold Cup Award", "National Quality Project Silver Award", and "Da Yu Award" multiple times.

While carrying out construction operations, the Group actively develops capital operations and actively invests in and develops hydropower stations, wind farms, sewage treatment, and urban water supply projects. Currently, the total installed capacity of hydropower, wind power, and photovoltaic resources that have been put into operation and are available for development exceeds 2 million kW. The cascade hydropower stations in the Red River Basin in Yunnan, which are controlled by the Group through investment, have an installed capacity of 720,000 kW. Among them, the Nansha Hydropower Station has an installed capacity of 150,000 kW, and the Madushan Hydropower Station has an installed capacity of 300,000 kW and has been put into operation for power generation. The Xiushan Hydropower Station in Hunan, which is controlled by Yueshui Power through investment, has an installed capacity of 65,000 kW, and the first phase of the Dongfang Gancheng Wind Power Project in Hainan has an installed capacity of 49,500 kW, both of which have been connected to the grid for power generation. Meanwhile, the Group actively develops real estate projects and has a strong brand influence in the real estate industry in the eastern part of Guangzhou.

As the "Guangdong Province Flood Control and Emergency Rescue Team" designated by the Guangdong Provincial Government, the Group actively undertakes social responsibilities and has successfully completed various flood control and emergency rescue tasks. It has been successively awarded the title of "Advanced Collective of Guangdong Province for Flood Control, Rescue and Disaster Relief" by the provincial government.
