Shanghai Radio Equipment Research Institute

Shanghai Radio Equipment Research Institute, affiliated with Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology under China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, is a national key scientific research institution engaged in research, product development, prototyping, testing, and production in fields such as optoelectronic detection, data communication, satellite payloads, and electromagnetic environment effects. Its research conditions and professional technical capabilities hold a leading position. The institute houses ten specialized research departments, one key laboratory, and three Shanghai municipal key laboratories, and has established joint R&D centers with several domestic universities. It currently employs over 900 staff members, including more than 600 professional technical personnel, over 450 holders of doctoral or master's degrees, more than 250 senior engineers and above, and over 20 provincial or ministerial level experts, including national 'Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project' experts and specialists receiving special government allowances from the State Council. The institute has successively undertaken hundreds of key national, provincial, and ministerial scientific research projects and production tasks, has received over 200 scientific and technological achievement awards at the provincial/ministerial level or above, and holds more than 400 patents. It has been honored with the National May Day Labor Certificate, the title of 'National Model Staff Home', and the title of 'Shanghai Staff Most Satisfactory Enterprise', and has repeatedly been rated as a Shanghai Civilized Unit, a Group Civilized Unit, and a Shanghai High-Tech Enterprise.
