建宁县污水处理厂是建宁县的重点环保工程，是建宁县*座污水处理厂，占地4公顷，设计规模5万吨／日。一期项目总投资2600万元。污水处理系统在国内首次采用了连续进水、间歇出水、双池串联工艺，具有构筑物少、流程简单、占地少、对水质水量变化适应性强的特点，在国内城市污水处理领域中取得重大突破，技术水平在国内居领先水平，达到90年代国际先进水平。
