济宁医学院是山东省省属普通本科高等学校，创建于1952年。学校现有济宁和日照两个校区，占地总面积1686。8亩，馆藏图书总量为150余万册。拥有102个实践教学基地，其中附属医院10所。现有15个教学院部系，开设20多个本科专业。学校面向全国21个省、市招生，现有全日制本专科在校生13000余人。学校有4个省级重点学科，3个省级重点实验室，20多个各级各类研究（所）机构。学校主办的全国性核心期刊——《中华行为医学科学与脑科学杂志》和《济宁医学院学报》，面向国内外公开发行。
