Beijing Shuguang Aviation Electric Co., Ltd. was founded in 1958 and is a specialized aviation motor development and production unit under Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). It is located by Sanyuan Bridge outside Dongzhimen and in the Airport Industrial Development Zone. AVIC Shuguang now has two major production lines: aviation motors and micro-control motors; three major product categories: aviation power supply systems, aviation electric drive systems, and micro-control motors and sensors; and five major systems: technological innovation, product R&D, product manufacturing, product testing, and marketing. AVIC Shuguang has more than 60 years of history in developing and producing aviation motors and is one of the units participating in the formulation of international, national, and aviation industry technical standards for various types of aviation motors in China. The company has developed and produced more than 500 varieties in over 30 categories, including AC/DC power supply systems, starter generators, and angular and linear displacement sensors. It was the first in China to develop and produce doubly salient structure and hybrid excitation structure power generation systems, as well as new products such as high-voltage DC brushless motors, AC variable-frequency motors, and combined electric actuators.
