Changsha Qidian Auto Parts Co., Ltd. was established in January 2005. The predecessor of the company was Changsha Automobile Electric Factory, founded in 1957, and was once named Zhongqi Changdian Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 130 million. The company is located in the * Economic and Technological Development Zone within Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering a total area of 145 mu. In July 2008, a reorganization agreement for Changsha Qidian Auto Parts Co., Ltd. was signed with China National Machinery Industry Corporation, officially becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinomach Group, successfully merged into Sinomach Group, and directly managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. The company has its headquarters production base, Changsha Automobile Electric Research Institute, and Changsha Automobile Electric Testing Center, an authoritative institution for automotive electrical technology in China. The company mainly produces starters, alternators, air-conditioning clutches and other assemblies, as well as generator stator assemblies, rotor assemblies, brush end covers, drive end covers and other assemblies and parts, starter switch assemblies, one-way clutches, armatures and other assemblies and parts. Air-conditioning clutches have long supplied Shanghai Songz, Dalian Fuji, Yueyang Hengli and other automotive air-conditioning manufacturers, with products occupying more than 50% of the domestic market share; motor and electrical parts mainly supply Bosch Automotive Parts (Changsha) Co., Ltd. and Changsha Hitachi Automotive Electric Co., Ltd., and are exported to Iran, South Korea and other countries. At the same time, the company has strong product development and production processing capabilities, and can develop, design and custom-process parts for numerous motor and electrical manufacturers.
