WES Group

WES Group was founded in 2009. With the mission of delivering world-class education to the world and the goal of cultivating lifelong learners with an international perspective, the Group focuses on school operation and management and investment in the education industry.
Since 2009, WES Group has established Changsha WES International School and Nanchang International School in Changsha and Nanchang respectively. These two schools are the only schools for children of foreign nationals in Hunan Province and Jiangxi Province respectively that provide true international education and have been officially approved by the Ministry of Education of China. In 2015, the Group opened a bilingual division in Changsha (namely Changsha WES Bilingual School), thus giving domestic students the opportunity to enjoy the high-quality educational resources of an international school. At present, in August 2020, the Group established Shanghai WES School in Shanghai. The schools under the Group already have students and teachers from more than 20 countries and regions around the world, and have become a school brand with multiple IB qualifications, covering the four stages of kindergarten, primary school, junior high school and senior high school, and providing complete and professional international education for students aged 3-19.
Changsha WES International School (International Division) is the only school in Hunan Province that uses English as the main language of instruction and mainly enrolls children of foreign nationals and children of returnees. At present, Changsha WES International School has become a school covering the four stages of kindergarten, primary school, junior high school and senior high school, providing complete and professional international curricula for students aged 3-19. Changsha WES International School is an international school officially approved by the Ministry of Education of China, and is also one of the members of the Council of International Schools. In May 2014, Changsha WES International School, as an IB World School, received official authorization from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) for its PYP programme. IB World Schools all share a common philosophy—"a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education"—which we believe is crucial for our students.
Changsha WES International School brings together elite teachers from all over the world with international backgrounds and extensive qualifications; they come from the United States, Australia, Canada, China, the United Kingdom, continental Europe and other regions. The bilingual division of Changsha WES International School (Changsha County WES School) mainly enrolls Chinese students. It currently offers an integrated Chinese-Western curriculum from primary school to junior high school, so as to connect with the international high school curriculum of the International Division. The integrated Chinese-Western curriculum is based on the national compulsory education syllabus and IB interdisciplinary inquiry themes, incorporates the IB teaching philosophy and framework system, is supplemented by a rich variety of distinctive courses and activities, adopts small-class teaching and bilingual instruction, and guides students through inquiry to become the subject of learning, truly putting learners at the center.

Nanchang International School is the only school in Jiangxi Province that uses English as the main language of instruction and mainly enrolls children of foreign nationals and children of returnees. At present, Nanchang International School covers the two stages of kindergarten and primary school, providing professional international curricula for students aged 2-12. Nanchang International School is a school for children of foreign nationals officially approved by the Ministry of Education of China. In 2016, Nanchang International School received official authorization from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) for its Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Shanghai WES School will officially open in August 2020.
