青岛农业大学海都学院是2005年经教育部批准独立设置的全日制普通本科高校。现设在有70多年办学历史的青岛农业大学莱阳校区，在建青岛莱西新校区占地面积1200亩。学校设有工程系、食品系、生物科技系、人文艺术系、经济与管理系、大数据学院、基础教学部、思想政治理论教学部8个教学院系部。拥有40个本科专业及相关专科专业，涵盖理、工、农、经、管、艺、文7个学科门类。校内设有计算机、机械工程、电气工程、建筑工程、食品科学与工程、动物科学、经济与管理学、人文艺术等11个实验实践教学中心，建有稳固的校外实践教学基地130个。

在长时间的办学实践中，学校坚持社会主义办学方向，坚持立德树人根本任务，明确“服务国家重大发展战略和经济社会发展需求，培养高素质应用型人才”的办学定位和“以人为本、依法治校、质量立校、特色强校”的办学理念，取得一系列办学成绩。曾荣获“中国*具竞争力独立学院”“改革开放30年中国十佳特色教育示范校”“山东省产教融合（校企合作）示范单位”“2021年度山东省*受中学信赖本科高校”等荣誉称号。2022年入选山东省应用型本科高校建设支持单位。
