港区医院开业后，郑州一院除加大对港区医院的资金投入，加强基础设施建设外，还将每日抽调30余名各专业副高以上专家到港区医院坐诊或指导临床业务，并实行无假日医院，开设内科、外科、儿科等10几个科室。对于有特殊需求或目前港区医院无法满足医疗要求的病人，免费转往郑州一院救治。同时还将定期举行大型义诊活动，送医药送健康送文艺进农村等活动，为广大父老乡亲免费服务。
