It was established as a joint venture with an investment of 350 million yuan by Baosteel International Economic & Trading Co., Ltd. and Italy's Magnetto Wheels, with a registered capital of 165 million yuan.
Chongqing Baosteel Magee Wheel Co., Ltd. has advanced product technology and has introduced major advanced automated production equipment from Europe and North America. It can produce products with beautiful appearances, some of which can replace aluminum wheels; it will provide users with high-quality, aesthetically pleasing steel automotive wheels, suitable for the needs of modern automotive development.
The first phase of the project invested 333 million yuan, with an annual production of 1.5 million passenger vehicle wheels and 500,000 commercial vehicle wheels. It is an important part of Baosteel Group's automotive parts strategy in western China.
