原省属中专学校浙江水产学校成立于1984年，于2000年8月并入浙江海洋学院后，组建为浙江海洋学院杭州校区，并在原浙江水产学校基础上，于2000年8月设立了浙江海洋学院杭州职业技术学校和杭州中专部，2003年7月校区升格为浙江海洋学院高职杭州分院，校区座落在钱塘江畔景色秀丽的省级湘湖旅游风景开发区内，与杭州乐园、杭州东方文化园、山里人家及正在建设的世外桃源相邻，环境幽雅，是理想的求学场所。
