Xi'an Daxing Hospital

Xi'an Daxing Hospital is a non-profit tertiary first-class general hospital primarily composed of veterans. Its jointly established and shared operational mechanism has unleashed robust vitality and vigor. Founded in 1963, Xi'an Daxing Hospital originated from the Daxing Road Medical Outpatient Department of Lianhu District, Xi'an. The hospital currently has over 2,000 employees, including more than 550 professional and technical personnel with intermediate and senior titles, over 230 with master's degrees or above, and more than 460 with military medical university education and work backgrounds. A large number of renowned experts and outstanding young and middle-aged professionals from both military and civilian backgrounds have joined Daxing. Currently, the hospital operates 1,560 beds and 47 clinical and medical technology departments, with comprehensive disciplines and total medical equipment valued at 350 million yuan. The hospital focuses on building five major centers: the National Chest Pain Center, National Advanced Stroke Center, Trauma Center, Neonatal Rescue Center, and High-Risk Maternal Emergency Center; it pioneered the "5G Smart Medical Command Center" in China; established an integrated critical care management platform led by the Comprehensive Critical Care Medicine Department; built three platforms for endoluminal minimally invasive integration, interventional procedures, and painless comfortable diagnosis and treatment; and developed a first-class modern, digital dental diagnosis and treatment center and a new drug/preparation R&D center. The Brain Hospital and Digestive Disease Hospital have notable strengths in comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of nervous system and digestive system diseases; the jointly established Abdominal Complex Complications Treatment Center brings hope to patients with difficult and complicated conditions. The hospital has formed a treatment feature of "minimally invasive, painless, and comprehensive rehabilitation." In 2020 and 2021, facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan and Xi'an, Xi'an Daxing Hospital consciously shouldered the social responsibilities of a private hospital and the sacred mission of medical staff. Han Lichun, Director of the Anesthesiology and Surgery Department, was honored as "National Advanced Individual in COVID-19 Prevention and Control" and "National Outstanding Communist Party Member"; Liu Wei, Director of the Quality Control Office, was honored as "National Most Beautiful Veteran"; the hospital was honored as "Shaanxi Province Advanced Collective in COVID-19 Prevention and Control" and "Shaanxi Province Advanced Grassroots Party Organization"; over 90 individuals received various national, provincial, municipal, and district-level commendations. It is also an affiliated hospital of Yan'an University, a joint graduate training base of Yan'an University, a teaching hospital of Xi'an Medical University, and a postdoctoral innovation base of Shaanxi Province. The hospital is a "Shaanxi Province Five-Star Party Organization," "Shaanxi Province Demonstration Unit for Social Forces Running Medical Institutions," a Shaanxi Province civilized unit, and an Xi'an city advanced collective. It is among the first batch of veteran health service demonstration units in Shaanxi Province and was honored as a national advanced unit for veteran service support in 2021.
