Founded in 2000, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "LONGi Green Energy") is committed to becoming the world's most valuable solar technology company. With the mission of "Harnessing the Power of Sunlight to Create a Green Energy World," LONGi Green Energy focuses on technological innovation and has built five major business segments: monocrystalline silicon wafers, cell modules, distributed photovoltaic solutions, ground-mounted photovoltaic solutions, and hydrogen energy equipment, forming "green electricity" plus "green hydrogen" product and solution capabilities that support global zero-carbon development. As a leading global photovoltaic enterprise, by the end of the first half of 2022, LONGi Green Energy achieved operating revenue of RMB 50.417 billion (source: 2022 semi-annual report). In 2022, in the "2022 China Brand Value Evaluation Information" released by the China Brand Construction Promotion Association, LONGi Green Energy reached new heights with a brand value of RMB 50.383 billion and a brand value strength of 890.
In the first half of 2022, LONGi Green Energy achieved shipments of 39.62 GW of monocrystalline silicon wafers and 18.02 GW of monocrystalline modules (source: 2022 semi-annual report). From 2012 to the end of 2021, LONGi Green Energy cumulatively produced more than 205 GW of photovoltaic products, equivalent to the installed capacity of nine Three Gorges power stations. The green electricity generated is equivalent to saving 82 million tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 200 million tons, and planting 11.1 billion trees.
LONGi Green Energy places great emphasis on technology R&D, driving productivity through science and technology. By the end of 2021, LONGi's cumulative R&D investment over 10 years exceeded RMB 12.3 billion, ranking it as the leader in the photovoltaic industry. In the first half of 2022, R&D investment reached RMB 3.67 billion, with a cumulative total of 1,808 patents obtained. In 2021, LONGi broke the world record for photovoltaic cell conversion efficiency seven times, and in the first half of 2022, it broke the world record for cell conversion efficiency three consecutive times. Among these, the conversion efficiencies of p-type HJT cells, non-indium HJT cells, n-type HJT cells, n-type TOPCon, and p-type TOPCon were pushed to 25.74%, 25.40%, 26.50%, 25.21%, and 25.19%, respectively.
In December 2019, LONGi Green Energy was selected as a constituent stock of the SSE 50 Index; in September 2020, it was included in the FTSE China A50 Index; in 2020, LONGi Green Energy's long-term credit rating was assessed as AAA by Lianhe Credit Rating Co., Ltd.; it was rated AAA for module "bankability" by PV Tech; it was rated excellent in the BNEF financial health index; it remained a 100% "bankable" module brand in BNEF; and it was recognized as a new winner of the 2022 China Excellent Management Companies, with extensive influence in the capital markets.
LONGi Green Energy drives the development of the photovoltaic industry through technological innovation. It has released the LONGi product lifecycle standard, the "Hidden Crack-Free Intelligent Welding" technology white paper, and the LONGi Sunflower Plan. It won the nomination award at the 4th China Quality Award, becoming the first photovoltaic enterprise to receive this honor; it has been rated with the "Outstanding Achievement Award" by RETC for four consecutive years; it was a module manufacturer winning the 2021 Intersolar Award; and it has won the TÜV Rheinland "Quality Wins in China" award for many consecutive years.
LONGi Green Energy has proposed the "Solar for Solar" model, which, while creating low-cost clean energy for the world, practices low-carbon and green manufacturing concepts to achieve the production of clean energy with clean energy. In 2021, LONGi passed the certification of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's green manufacturing system, becoming a photovoltaic enterprise that simultaneously received the three honors of "Green Factory," "Green Design Product," and "Green Supply Chain Management Enterprise." It also launched the photovoltaic industry's first "zero-carbon factory" at its Baoshan production base in Yunnan. Both the LONGi Hi-MO 4 and Hi-MO 5 series products have obtained "Product Carbon Footprint Certificates" issued by BUREAU VERITAS. The Hi-MO 5 photovoltaic module product based on 182mm silicon wafer size obtained a carbon footprint certificate from France's Certisolis, and the Hi-MO 5 was awarded the world's first IEC/TS 62994 certificate by TÜV Rheinland.
