Beijing Tsinghua Holdings Human Settlements Environment Research Institute (Co., Ltd.) is one of the five wholly state-owned companies under Tsinghua Holdings Human Settlements Group. Tsinghua Holdings Human Settlements Group is a wholly state-owned construction group established in 2013 by Tsinghua University, integrating the former Tsinghua Urban Planning and Design Institute, Tsinghua Architectural Design and Research Institute, Guohuan Tsinghua Environmental Engineering Design and Research Institute, Qingshang Decoration and Renovation Group, and Shuimu Engineering Company, engaged in technology research and development, design, engineering, and operation, with a registered capital of 600 million yuan. Beijing Tsinghua Holdings Human Settlements Environment Research Institute (Co., Ltd.) is a professional team of Tsinghua University engaged in comprehensive environmental technology services. Relying on the School of Environment and the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University, it conducts multidisciplinary work in environmental and municipal planning and design, smart water system technology research and development and comprehensive solutions, environmental system integration and engineering general contracting, and environmental monitoring and soil remediation. Our institute was initially established in 2004, originally named "Institute of Environment and Municipal Engineering, Beijing Tsinghua Urban Planning and Design Institute". In 2010, it was renamed "Department of Environment and Municipal Engineering, Beijing Tsinghua Urban Planning and Design Institute". In 2013, in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education and Tsinghua University, it underwent restructuring and was officially registered as "Beijing Tsinghua Holdings Human Settlements Environment Research Institute Co., Ltd.", a wholly state-owned company under Tsinghua Holdings Human Settlements Construction Group. Our institute has rich project experience and excellent performance in fields such as environmental and municipal planning and design, urban water system planning and design, smart water system technology research and development and comprehensive solutions, environmental system integration, and strategic environmental impact assessment. Currently, it holds over 50 software copyrights and related patents, has led or participated in the formulation of multiple national and local standards and specifications, and has obtained CMA and NAS certifications. It is also a co-construction unit of the Strategic Environmental Assessment Research Center of Tsinghua University, and a technical support unit of the Urban Water System Simulation and Regulation Engineering Technology Center (under preparation).
