官帽舟水电站开发任务是以发电为主，兼顾下游减水河段生态环境用水，并结合汛期水库蓄水兼有提高下游防洪能力和改善农业灌溉条件。坝址控制流域面积1449km2，水库正常蓄水位674m，相应库容0.88亿m3，拦河坝*大坝高为108m，总库容为9733万m3，总装机2×5.5万千瓦+2×0.5万千瓦，其中2×0.5万千瓦为生态机组。现4台机组均已发电。 本工程枢纽建筑物由首部枢纽、引水系统和厂区枢纽三部分组成，主要建筑物由沥青混凝土心墙土石坝、开敞式溢洪道、泄洪放空洞、生态流引水系统及电站厂房、发电引水系统及电站厂房等建筑物组成。大坝施工导流采用围堰一次断流，导流隧洞导流的施工导流方式。导流隧洞布置在大坝右岸，紧邻泄洪放空洞，泄洪放空洞部分结合导流洞。
