辉县市中医院建于1990年底。从一片空白起步，当时市政府只拨款2万元经费，给出优惠政策，靠集、捐、借筹资46万元，用分期付款方式购得1900㎡的三层临街小楼，占地1.9亩，48名员工，40张床位，20多万元设备，13个临床科室起家，不等不靠，开始了艰辛创业的漫漫征程。经过20年风雨洗礼，现已发展成为以中医中药为主、中西医结合的县（市）级中医综合医院，是联合国颁证的爱婴医院、国家二级甲等中医院、省重点县（市）中医院和新乡市明星中医院，是辉县市80万人民的中医医疗、保健、科研和康复中心，是新型农村合作医疗和多种医疗保险定点医院。目前医院占地24584m2，总建筑面积27600m2，开放床位285张，固定资产6000余万，总资产7300余万元。
