Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd. was founded in 1907 and is known as the cradle of China's cement industry. Over the past 110 years, it has made outstanding contributions to national and local economic development. Huaxin Cement is the first enterprise in China's cement industry to pass the GB/T19001-ISO9001 quality system certification. Its credit rating is "AAA", and its "Huaxin Fortress" brand cement products have won the National Famous Trademark Certificate. National key projects such as the Top Ten Buildings in Beijing in the 1950s, Beijing Asian Games Village, Gezhouba Dam, Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, dozens of highway and railway bridges along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and the world-renowned Three Gorges Project all selected Huaxin Cement. In 1994, the company's A and B shares were listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The enterprise has also developed from a pure cement production enterprise into a global building materials group integrating cement, concrete, aggregates, environmental disposal, equipment manufacturing and EPC engineering, high-tech new building materials and other businesses. It has more than 150 branches and subsidiaries in more than ten provinces and cities across the country and overseas, ranking among China's Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises and Fortune China Top 500, with scale firmly in the forefront of the domestic industry. Huaxin Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd., established in 2011. After years of effort, it has formed a complete set of internationally advanced cement kiln co-processing harmless and resource utilization technologies and equipment with independent intellectual property rights, won the second prize of the 2016 National Science and Technology Progress Award, and obtained 85 related patents, covering five major environmental protection business disposal platforms: municipal domestic waste, municipal sludge, industrial hazardous waste, contaminated soil, and floating debris. At present, the company has 24 environmental protection plants in operation and under construction in Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Guangdong, Henan, Yunnan, Sichuan and other provinces and cities, with an annual disposal capacity of more than 5.5 million tons of various wastes. It has safely and ecologically disposed of 2.5 million tons of domestic waste, more than 900,000 tons of municipal sludge, more than 500,000 cubic meters of floating debris in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, 50,000 tons of hazardous waste, and 750,000 tons of contaminated soil, and restored thousands of mu of urban toxic land. Its annual domestic waste disposal volume has accounted for more than 50% of the national total for cement kiln co-processing, providing practical and feasible solutions for national waste treatment and ecological civilization construction. The Huaxin Environmental Protection New Materials Business Division inherits the research and development experience and technical advantages of century-old Huaxin, actively transforms and promotes industrial chain extension, and specializes in the research and development, production and sales of high-tech building materials. At present, it vigorously develops ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC), anti-seepage energy-saving special new materials, aerated concrete wall materials and other new building materials, providing innovative materials and high-quality products for China's infrastructure construction. It has built multiple modern science and technology parks and new building materials production bases in Hubei, Hainan and other places.
