宁夏农业勘查设计院始建于1958年，隶属于宁夏回族自治区农牧厅，是宁夏回族自治区农林行业*的甲级工程设计院，具有国家建设部、发改委颁发的农林行业甲级工程设计咨质、甲级工程咨询咨质、水利部颁发的水土保持监测评价乙级资质；自治区建设厅颁发的乙级勘察资质、自治区测绘局颁发的乙级测绘资质、自治区水利厅颁发的编制开发建设项目水土保持方案乙级资质，同时拥有宁夏回族自治区技术监督局授予宁夏农产品质量安全检验检测资质、银川土壤肥料测试资质、宁夏化肥农药产品质量监督检验资质。院信息资料室科技档案管理工作达到省一级标准。
