The Electronic Computing Technology Research Institute of China Academy of Railway Sciences Group Co., Ltd. was established on May 1, 1979. After forty years of unremitting efforts, it has become a professional research institute and high-tech enterprise engaged in the application of information technology in the railway and rail transit fields. Its business covers multiple areas including railway passenger transport, railway freight, railway dispatching, engineering construction, transport dispatching, train operation safety, mobile equipment, operation management, big data application, Beidou communication, safety assessment, urban rail transit, and more. It undertakes the construction and operation and maintenance of hundreds of important information systems such as the railway 12306 and 95306 websites, ticketing systems, passenger service systems, freight ticket systems, dispatching systems, natural disaster and foreign object intrusion monitoring systems, EMU management information systems, master data platforms, and geographic information platforms. It has developed a series of system integration products, software products, and mechatronic products, which have been widely applied in the railway and urban rail transit industries. At the same time, it is responsible for the operation and development of multiple railway internet resource platforms including 12306, 95306, electronic payment, and China Railway Yintong Card. The enterprise currently has more than 1,400 employees, dozens of industry technical experts, over 140 senior professional and technical personnel, 13 master's supervisor, and 3 doctoral supervisor. It currently has 1 doctoral degree authorization point, 2 master's degree authorization points, and 1 postdoctoral research station, and has cultivated multiple master's and doctoral students.
