BorgWarner entered China in 1993 and established its first joint venture in Beijing to produce transmissions. To date, all businesses of the group's seven business units have entered China, including: Turbocharging Systems, Morse Systems, Thermal Systems, Emissions Systems, Beru Systems, Transmission Systems, and Torque Transfer Systems. BorgWarner currently operates five manufacturing facilities in China and has BorgWarner (China) Investment Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, employing a total of 1,604 employees. BorgWarner's rapid development in China benefits from the company's three major development strategies: First, leveraging leading technology as the core competitiveness to drive steady sales growth; Second, effectively strengthening risk resilience through the advantages of global customer and geographic diversification; Third, prudent investment decisions, which involve comprehensive analysis and evaluation of potential risks and returns from market, product, and customer perspectives to ensure return on investment. This is also the strategy that has proven effective for BorgWarner for over a century. We integrate the three missions of improving fuel economy, reducing emissions, and enhancing driving performance throughout all BorgWarner product R&D and design. BorgWarner products cover key components of engines and transmission systems in areas such as passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and off-highway vehicles. We are dedicated in mind and prudent in action, making positive contributions to the development of China's automotive industry.
