The luxury menswear brand Ermenegildo Zegna Group is one of the most renowned enterprises in Italy. Established in 1910 by young entrepreneur Mr. Ermenegildo in Trivero, in the Biella region of the Alps, the brand was founded on his commitment to innovative technology and the use of rare fibers sourced directly from their origin to produce the world's finest fabrics. Today, the company is led by Gildo Zegna, the fourth-generation member of the Zegna family and CEO. Since the late 1980s, the company has pursued a vertically integrated development strategy, rising to become a global luxury brand covering everything from fabrics and ready-to-wear to accessories, with a focus on retail and pioneering entry into emerging luxury markets, particularly the BRIC countries and Asia. Zegna became the first luxury group to open a brand boutique in China in 1991. In 2010, Zegna celebrated its 100th anniversary. Today, the brand operates 546 stores in over 100 countries worldwide (including 312 directly operated stores), and employs over 7,800 people. In Greater China, Zegna's retail stores cover nearly 39 cities.
