EFD Induction

The EFD Group was established in January 1996 through the merger of two world-renowned manufacturers in the induction heating field at that time: Norway's ELVA Company and Germany's FDF Company, both specializing in induction hardening machines and induction heating equipment. In 1998, CFEI, a famous French induction equipment manufacturer, also joined the group, making EFD Group one of the world's largest multinational joint-stock group enterprises supplying induction heating equipment. Germany's EFD Induction GmbH (formerly FDF), founded in 1950, is the most famous supplier of medium and high-frequency induction surface hardening equipment in Europe, always leading the world in the development and manufacturing of induction hardening equipment. Norway's EFD Induction a.s. (formerly ELVA), founded in 1981, originated from the Norwegian University of Technology in Trondheim in the mid-1970s, and is a pioneer in transistor-based induction heating power supplies, always at the forefront of research and development of high-frequency solid-state induction power supplies. France's EFD Induction S.A. (formerly CFEI), founded in 1944, is the largest supplier of induction heat treatment equipment for the automotive and nuclear industries in France. EFD Induction (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (ECH) is a wholly-owned factory built by the EFD Group in Shanghai in 2001, and is one of the group's important production bases. EFD has set up sales and after-sales service departments at its Shanghai plant, responsible for the sales of EFD products and providing fast and high-quality after-sales service. A spare parts warehouse is also available to supply spare parts and components at any time, greatly facilitating customers. EFD Group's product range mainly falls into three categories: induction heating machines (IHM), induction power supply systems (IPS), and commercial heat treatment (CHT). These products are mainly used in automotive, machinery, electronics, marine, metallurgy, aviation, and other fields. Induction heating machines (IHM) are used for surface hardening of different types of mechanical parts, mainly applied to various shaft workpieces and typical workpieces such as crankshafts, camshafts, universal joints, cylinder blocks, bearing shells, shock absorbers, racks and pinions, and torsion bars. The equipment can be vertical or horizontal, single-station or multi-station, performing processes such as induction hardening and tempering. Induction power supply systems (IPS) use IGBT transistor technology, with flexible output cables and handheld transformers, and can be equipped with induction coils of different sizes according to different needs, automatically matching based on the load. Using microprocessor technology, multiple function menus are displayed, allowing selection of various operating modes and monitoring of various parameters. Processes such as induction brazing, induction hardening, pre-weld heating, hot straightening, and induction bonding and curing can be achieved. Commercial heat treatment (CHT) mainly involves outsourcing of heat treatment processes and equipment rental. EFD invests 5% of its annual profit in product technology research and development, thus always maintaining a leading position in induction heat treatment. EFD Group is well-known for its high-quality after-sales service. In 2001, EFD Induction (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (wholly-owned subsidiary) was established in Shanghai, introducing EFD Group's most advanced induction heating manufacturing technology and advanced management models, making it one of the most important bases for production, sales, and technical service of induction heating equipment in China, Asia, and even the world.
