CSL (abbreviation for Commonwealth Serum Laboratories) was founded in Australia in 1916, aiming to serve the health needs of countries isolated by war. CSL Behring's (Chinese name: Jet Behring) corporate history can be traced back to Dr. Emil von Behring. This German physician, as a pioneer of serum therapy, won the first Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1901, and the successful collaboration between the two parties has created the current globally innovative company CSL. The name "Behring" in CSL products is derived from Dr. Emil von Behring's name, in memory of his outstanding contributions to human health.
CSL Behring is headquartered in Pennsylvania, USA, with three major manufacturing plants located in Illinois, USA; Bern, Switzerland; and Marburg, Germany. Sales and distribution centers are spread across 19 countries worldwide. It owns and operates one of the world's most advanced plasma collection center networks: CSL Plasma, and is a global leader in plasma protein biotherapeutics.

Jet Behring (Shanghai) Pharmaceutical Information Consulting Co., Ltd. is directly managed by CSL Behring, with its headquarters in Shanghai and branch offices in Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Wuhan. Main products are manufactured by CSL Behring (Jet Behring). Behring Human Albumin entered China in the 1980s, with over 20 years of safe clinical use records in China. This product holds a leading market share in China (data from IMS Data).
