Electric Glass Shanghai Co., Ltd. (EGS) is the initial G5 TFT-LCD glass substrate processing and manufacturing enterprise invested by Nippon Electric Glass Co., Ltd. (NEG), a globally renowned specialty glass manufacturing group, in mainland China in 2006. It is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and processing of glass substrates for TFT-LCD liquid crystal displays and chemically strengthened glass substrates. NEG is one of the world's three major manufacturers of LCD glass substrates, accounting for approximately 25% of the global market share. In recent years, to meet the rapid development of the liquid crystal industry in mainland China, NEG has increased its investment in China. Following the Shanghai plant, it has successively invested in constructing G8.5 glass substrate production lines in Guangzhou and Nanjing, and established glass furnace plants in Xiamen, along with expanding Phase 3 furnaces and processing plants for higher-generation lines. This highlights the importance of the Chinese market in NEG's global strategy. NEG will uphold the philosophy of customer first and meeting all customer needs, contributing to the development of China's liquid crystal industry. Domestic end customers include mobile phone manufacturers such as Huawei, Xiaomi, VIVO, and OPPO, as well as flat panel display companies like LG, TCL, and Samsung.
